The Landless Voices project

This international and interdisciplinary project was initiated by Professor Else R. P. Vieira at the University of Nottingham in 2001, under the auspices of the School of Modern Languages and in collaboration with the Movement of the Landless Rural Workers (MST) of Brazil. The database resulting from this first stage was launched in the House of Commons and in the Via Campesina (World Social Forum) in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in January 2003.

It is now developed and housed by Queen Mary University of London, under the auspices of the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film.
